Frequently asked questions

Where is my progress saved, and can I move it to a new phone?

Your progress is saved on your phone or tablet. Version 1.0.0 has no account and no cloud save, so deleting the game deletes your progress. Your device’s own backup can carry it to a new device of the same kind: Android’s backup and restore to your Google account, or an iCloud or computer backup when you set up a new iPhone or iPad. Moving between iPhone and Android is not possible yet; a cloud backup with transfer codes is planned for a later update.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. The whole game plays offline. When you are online, the game downloads a small settings file and checks the time, so that offline progress is counted fairly. Neither request contains anything about you.

Does my farm keep working when I am away?

Yes. Once you have learned Auto and hired Mira, they keep working in Emberwick Vale while the game is closed, for up to 8 hours. When you come back, the welcome-back report shows what they gathered. If you changed your phone’s clock, the away time may not count.

Why does the game ask for my year of birth?

So that it can choose suitable settings, for example whether to ask about notifications. The answer stays on your phone and is never sent to us. You can choose “Prefer not to say”; the game then uses its careful settings.

How do I turn notifications on or off?

Open Settings > Notifications. You choose which reminders you want: crops and helpers, the forge, season news and story news. You get at most one a day and never between 21:00 and 09:00. You can also switch them off in your phone’s settings.

A fight or a boss is too hard. What can I do?

After a boss loss, or two faints in a row, the game opens Get stronger (you can also open it from the Power screen): it shows what helps most, such as better gear from Brandt’s forge, upgrading gear at the anvil, a new technique, a higher skill level, or healing elixirs. Watch for the warning marks before an attack lands and dodge out of them. Your first try at each guardian in the Old Deeps costs nothing, and Last Stand (Settings > Controls) saves you once per fight.

What happens when I faint?

You wake up at home. On the overworld you lose a little of your gold. In the Old Deeps you drop the delve bag with that delve’s materials where you fell, and you can go back down and pick it up again.

Does the game have ads or in-app purchases?

No. Version 1.0.0 is free, with no ads and no purchases. Embers are earned by playing and spent on looks and decorations at Wynn’s Supply; they never buy combat strength.

I found a bug, or the game crashed. How do I report it?

Use Settings > Help > Contact support and describe what you were doing when it happened. If the game closes when it starts, tell us your phone model and system version. Keeping your phone’s system up to date and restarting the phone often helps.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the game from your device: that removes your progress, your settings and the game’s identifiers. Version 1.0.0 keeps no player data on our servers. For any other request, such as a support email you sent us, write to petter@kawisoftware.com with the subject “Ironbound Kingdom data deletion”.
