Privacy policy

Playing and saving progress
You do not need an account. The single-player game works offline and contains no ads or real-money purchases. Game progress and preferences are saved locally on your device. There is no cloud-save service. Uninstalling the game may delete this local data. Settings → Progress → Reset all progress resets gameplay progress while preserving preferences and the installation identifier.
Optional gameplay statistics
The game asks before sending gameplay statistics. The setting is called “Share anonymous play data”. You can decline and continue playing, or turn the setting off later under Settings → Privacy. We use these statistics to understand game balance, improve features and investigate technical problems.
If you opt in, events may include:
- Maps, modes, difficulty, waves, wins and losses, levels and progression.
- Towers, upgrades, items, abilities, quests and other features used; virtual currency earned or spent.
- Session duration, game preferences, performance measurements and diagnostic error messages.
- App version, operating-system name, device model and language/region setting.
- A randomly generated installation identifier and a session identifier, used to group events from the same installation.
The installation identifier is not your advertising identifier or an account name. However, events grouped under a persistent identifier are pseudonymous and should not be understood as impossible to associate with the same player. We do not request your name, email, contacts, photos, precise GPS location or advertising identifier for gameplay analytics.
Processing and service providers
Statistics are sent over HTTPS to PostHog's EU service in Frankfurt. Eivind manages the game's analytics project in cooperation with KAWI Software. As with other internet services, technical connection information such as an IP address is available to the receiving service when a connection is made. The service may derive an approximate region or city from the IP address; this is not precise GPS location. We do not use gameplay information for targeted advertising, sell it, or combine it with data from other apps for advertising.
Analytics events may be queued on your device while offline and sent later while sharing is enabled. Turning sharing off stops future analytics collection; it does not automatically delete events already received. Gameplay statistics are retained for no more than 12 months. Contact us to request deletion or ask about data associated with your installation.
Support and your choices
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it to respond to your request. Do not include passwords or sensitive information. Support correspondence is kept only as needed to handle your request and meet applicable obligations.
Optional analytics is based on your consent, which you may withdraw in Settings. Support information is processed to answer your request and operate our support service. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal data, or object to processing. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority, including Datatilsynet in Norway.
Because there is no player account, we may need additional information to locate analytics from your installation. We will explain what is needed and will not ask you to post private details in a public issue tracker.
Request deletion of your data
Email petter@kawisoftware.com with the subject “Farm Guardians data deletion”. Tell us you want your analytics data deleted. We will help identify the relevant installation without asking for passwords. We delete identifiable gameplay events and diagnostic information associated with the located installation. We may retain the correspondence needed to document and fulfil your request or meet legal obligations. Gameplay analytics otherwise expires within 12 months. Local progress stays on your device and can be reset in Settings; uninstalling removes local app data according to your device settings.
Children
We do not request a child's name, contact details or date of birth. Parents and guardians can leave optional analytics disabled and contact us with privacy or deletion requests. If applicable law requires parental consent, a parent or guardian should make the analytics choice.
Permissions and changes
The game does not use the camera, microphone or photo library. Operating-system settings may show engine-related permission descriptions, but gameplay does not request access to these features.
We will update this page if data practices change, and request a new choice where required. This policy covers Farm Guardians; external websites and services have their own policies.
